Additional Information

Norvin Landrum is the owner and operator of Global Empire Graphics, a graphic design firm based out of Richland, Oregon, that specializes in a wide variety of services including branding, web design, illustration, creative concepts, publication layout, and event promotion. Landrum is a unique business owner because he still maintains operational control over much of the company’s day to day output.

Landrum not only promotes his company and sells contracts, but he also does high-end design work and copywriting. Norvin Landrum’s practical business approach ensures that his blossoming company maintains high standards and gathers important clients. His dedication to community service can be seen in the way he runs his company, which has already given heavy discounts to nonprofit organizations seeking their services. Even though they are still relatively small, Mr. Landrum’s company has the heart of a giant.

Prior to Global Empire Graphics, Norvin Landrum was an Assistant Instructor at Edmonds Community College in Washington, teaching students enrolled in the multimedia vocational program. The college utilized Landrum’s specialized design skills, employing him as a specialist in digital imaging and graphic design. Landrum led lectures that helped students learn a variety of graphic arts related computer programs and he also aided them with questions and projects. While working at the college, Landrum finished two AmeriCorp grants and assisted in student completion of similar grants.

Landrum earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from Western Washington University in 2003, enjoying an active student career that included an honorable entrance into the Gold Key Honor Society and a feature sport during the University’s Scholar’s week in tribute to his paintings and graphic design efforts.

While earning his degree, Landrum worked as an Exhibit Technician at The Whatcom Museum of History and Art, one of Washington’s largest museums. This early museum work helped Norvin cultivate a keen graphic design eye and appreciation for graphic history that helped him succeed in his later design work. Whatcom Museum was also one of the first avenues for Norvin Landrum to flex his professional creative muscles, creating promotional graphic design pieces for the Pacific Northwest Photographers NOW exhibit.
